Vaccine Requirements for Grooming

"The health and safety of every pet in my care is my top priority at Barks & Bubbles Pet Salon LLC. To protect all dogs and ensure a safe grooming environment, I require proof of up-to-date vaccinations before grooming appointments."

These requirements are in place to prevent the spread of contagious diseases and to safeguard both your pet and others in our salon.

Required Vaccines

For all grooming services, dogs must be current on the following:

  • Rabies (required by law)

  • Distemper/Parvo (DHPP or DAPP) – core protection against dangerous viruses

  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough) – highly recommended, especially for social dogs

"I may request documentation from your veterinarian to confirm your dog’s vaccination status."

Puppies & Vaccinations

Puppies must complete their initial vaccination series before their first grooming appointment. Typically, this is around 16 weeks of age.

"Until then, I recommend short at-home care routines and 'puppy intro visits' for socialization, but full grooming will need to wait until vaccinations are complete."

Why Vaccinations Are Important

Vaccinations protect against illnesses that can spread quickly among pets. By keeping your dog current on vaccines, you are:
